King's Players Musicals (2011, 2012, 2013) Three-Year Program
The King's Players Musicals were a program setup to boost the production capabilities of the theatre company. The first musical, Once Upon a Mattress was put on at the Wolf Performance Hall in January 2011 to sold out houses with the goal of performing another musical within a year. The goal was achieved when the company presented "The Boy Friend" in the same venue a year later. At that time the company set out to put on a big-name musical with Grease. That production ran at the Palace Theatre to sold out houses in February of 2013. With the three-year program a stunning success the company has expanded with the intention of putting on a variety of musicals and dramatic productions.
